Upper Boggy Creek Micropark Subcommittee of the WWD1 NA

On April 12, 2025, the WWD1 Creek Committee – and its many volunteers – participated in the annual Keep Austin Beautiful Day. In addition to cleaning the entire Boggy Creek area in WWD1 of debris, neighbors spread mulch at the small play area on the West side of the creek – with the goal to make this a more defined, usable play area for the neighborhood to enjoy. And there was rock painting with kids again this time – as there was in the 2024 Keep Austin Beautiful Day.

The creek area starts at the edge of the neighborhood, 4404 Airport Blvd (the northern end of Crestwood, and Parkwood Roads) and the creek then flows in back of dozens of homes in WWD1 before it enters the Cherrywood neighborhood.

The Upper Boggy Creek Micropark Subcommittee of the Wilshire Wood/Delwood 1 Neighborhood Association, is officially registered with the City of Austin, and actively works with the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department and other City, County, and State agencies. The Upper Boggy Creek WWD1 NA subcommittee is responsible for planning, and coordination of neighborhood input and activities for the Upper Boggy Creek park at the northern edge of WWD1

Libby Chennell is the Upper Boggy Creek WWD1 NA Subcommittee Chair.
